Dismayed PTI Lawmakers Censured Government

Not only the PTI legislators from different parts of the country are dismayed with the government but the allies hold many reservations too

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers censured their government and demanded accountability of the federal ministers over alleged corruption and poor performance.

During a party meeting convened by Prime Minister Imran Khan, MNA Noor Alam Khan from Peshawar riled the federal ministers and said that all of them should be held accountable.

He added that he himself had gone through an accountability process and demanded the same for the ministers.

Noor Alam said the ministers were raising false hopes but in reality, the people were not getting basic commodities.

He recalled that incumbent Finance Minister Hafeez Sheikh used to say the same in 2009. He told Prime Minister Imran Khan that all technocrats would depart and the elected representatives would be humiliated in the public.

Noor Alam Khan contended that he was sincere with the party and therefore highlighting the issues that mattered.

Further, MNA Najeeb Haroon from Karachi censured the much-hyped Karachi Transformation Package (KTP).

He said that no development work was being done in the metropolis and lies were being told.

“Nothing will happen until 2023. Neither K-4 project would be completed nor the storm drains would be cleaned”, he added.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said to Najeeb Haroon why he was forecasting a dark future to which the lawmaker replied that he was stating the facts.

Moreover, PTI MNAs from Sindh including Nazhat Pathan and Lal Chand Malhi lambasted the party’s organization in Sindh.
