PM Imran Khan Grins Broader as PDM Despondent Over Resignation

The federal and provincial ministers took a jibe at the opposition as they recalled what opposition leaders had been saying before the deadline

The deadline of resignations set by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has passed without fulfillment of the objective and has certainly broadened the smile on the face of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has not stepped down as the PDM had demanded him. Rather, the opposition alliance has lost steam.

The government has demanded parties in the opposition alliance to resign from assemblies as they failed to retrieve it from the premier.

The federal and provincial ministers took a jibe at the opposition as they recalled what opposition leaders had been saying before the deadline.

In the political turmoil, Prime Minister will launch a new initiative by directly speaking to the people to listen and address their problems.

However, the PDM, which looks indecisive about the future, is going to deliberate on the long march option in its meeting on February 4.

Meanwhile, all major parties in the opposition alliance have announced to participate in the upcoming Senate election.

Whatever the outcome may be after the resignation hasn’t been given, Prime Minister Imran Khan looks satisfied after fissures have emerged in the PDM over the future course.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is not in favor of the long march but rather wants to bring in-house change by bringing a no-confidence motion to oust Prime Minister Imran Khan.
