Dirilis: Ertugrul, a Turkish historical drama series, has been in all the vogue in Pakistan since it was recommended by Prime Minister Imran Khan and began on-airing on the state-run PTV, Ertugrul’s superfluous obsession has resulted in many freaky behaviors among the people of Pakistan.

With the premiere’s recommendation of the series, the viewership of Ertugrul crossed millions in Pakistan. The drama series went popular beyond expectations and stirred the social media in Pakistan with hundreds of memes and relatable posts.

People in Pakistan started following the cast on social media and some even got distressed when they found out that Halime Sultan, Esra Bilgic, has not been habitual of covering herself like “Halime” in the series

Not only this, a number of local brands adopted the character names from the series to market their products.

Similarly, the politicians in Pakistan also joined the bandwagon and started finding similarities between their leaders and the real-life heroes, Ertugrul and his companions.

Apart from this, the schoolchildren were swayed by the series and it has been evident in many instances.

A recent post shared by actress Sanam Baloch on her Twitter account depicts the true obsession that Pakistani schoolchildren have for Ertugrul and his son, Osman.

The picture shared by the actress is of a child’s schoolwork who has included the characters “Ertugrul and Osman” in all of sentences.
