Bodies of Newborns from Garbage Dump in Orangi Found

WEB DESK: A roadside garbage dump in the suburban area of Shah Latif of Orangi Town in Karachi was used as a disposal site for dumping killed infants, likely to cover-up for the sin committed.
The callous parents left the dead at the mercy of street dogs that sniffer for food around these dumping sites.
Had they buried these newborns, it must have been a bit less obtrusive.
As the infants had already died, the bodies started to rot which drew the attention of the locals.
Luckily, the Chipa Welfare Foundation and police teams reached the site after they were informed, who recovered two dead babies from the garbage before they could completely be consumed by street animals.
When picked up by the rescue workers, the bloodstained bodies were wounded and had bite marks all over.

The culprits behind the inhumane act haven’t been traced due to the absence of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the suburban locality.
After funeral rites, the infants were buried with heavy hearts.
Chipa Welfare Foundation Head Ramzan Chipa urged such parents to stop killing their children, be they are born out of wedlock, and disposing them of.
He said that Chipa Foundation had installed cradles outside its centers across the city so that unwanted babies could be dropped off there. However, the people had become heartless, he said with a heavy tone.
Chipa further commented that children were the blessing of God and should not be killed. Rather, he suggested, if illegitimate children were left in the cradle, they could be adopted by the childless couples who could not have babies despite desire.
This is not the first time such a heart-wrenching incident has surfaced in the metropolis.
Despite the installation of cradles outside different welfare centers, the insensitive parents do not use them. They rather prefer killing and dumping children born out-of-wedlock to cover-up for their illicit acts.
