Is Asim Azhar’s Mother Ready to Make Entry in Politics?

After several phenomenal projects, Pakistani actress Gul-e-Rana has announced to join politics and bid farewell to drama industry

Pakistani singer Asim Azhar’s mother, Gul-e-Rana, has announced her entry in politics after years of phenomenal performances in several TV dramas. 

Currently, Rana is playing different powerful roles in two dramas as Annah Jee in Raqs e Bismil on Hum TV and Aapa Bi in Dunk on Ary Digital.

In an interview with Something Haute, the actress revealed that she has worked enough as an actress, producer, designer. Now, her focus is to make political entry and that too as a full-time job.

She further added, “My relationship is now with politics and that is where I intend to lead my journey.”

The 55-year-old actress contested in the general elections 2018 when the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) granted tickets to several artists and social activists for the Sindh assembly including Sajid Hassan and Ayub Khoso along with Gul-e-Rana for PS-94 constituency in Lyari.

In the initial stages of her career, Rana took off as a wardrobe designer and it is a well-known fact that she does her makeup and styling for every character she has played to date.

Rana has performed exceptionally well in several dramas including Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga, Cheekh, Mera Dil Mera Dushman, Aangan, Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain, Pyar Ke Sadqay, and many more.

While answering the question about future goals in acting, Rana quoted that she has to bid farewell to her acting career once she becomes part of a legislature.

However, Asim Azhar’s mother, Gul-e-Rana, has promised to continue her acting career only in theatres even after making entry into politics.
