Official Suspended For Indicating Violation of SOPs
Dawar Abbas was placed under suspension on account of writing ‘Hated’ comments on social media against the authority

At odds with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by National Command Operation Center (NCOC), a ‘Family Festival’ was organized in Karachi and a district administration official Dawar Abbas Rizvi was suspended for indicating it on social media.
The suspended official pointed out violation of SOPs in the event in a post on social media.
The suspension order was issued by District Municipal Corporation (DMC) Central Director Administration Aslam Khan.
The notice read Dawar Abbas was placed under suspension on account of writing ‘Hated’ comments on social media against the authority.

The corporation failed to take action against the administration and organizers of the Family Festival where precautionary measures were fearlessly and openly breached.
Instead, the official who identified the violation faced suspension.
Dawar Abbas’s suspension irked other employees of the corporation who were of the view that freedom of expression was the right of every citizen.
