“PUBG Game is Affecting Youngsters Badly”, Dr Alia Aftab
PUBG game is becoming increasingly popular among Pakistani youngsters that is criticized by the psychologist for inciting violence and behavioral issues among them and in a recent instance, a youngster shot his family members while copying the game style.
In the Nawa Kot area of Lahore, a young man gunned down his sister-in-law, sister, and neighbor when the family forbade him from playing the game.
Bilal is accused of firing only on the pretext that his family members had deleted PUBG’s public account which, according to the accused, contained millions of rupees which he had accumulated by playing the game.
News360 contacted psychiatrist Dr Alia Aftab who is of the view that “the popular game PUBG leads a player to violence”.

“PUBG has caused a stir all over the world which is affecting the youth badly”, she added.
Dr Alia said the effect of the game is utmost as all human senses are attracted to it and it dominates the subconscious of youth.
In response to a question, she suggested that it is not possible to keep people away from such addictions, however, parents need to be more cautious.
PUBG player Hammad Usman has been playing it for the past three years, while talking to News360, he maintained his parents strongly oppose this habit.
However, he admitted that PUBG game has triggered violent behavior in youngsters around the world and a number of violent incidents have been reported so far.
“We believe it is violent, but on the other hand, you can make a lot of money”, Usman added.
