DUHS Professors Choiring ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ Goes Viral

Two retired professors had to step down from the post of Pro-Vice Chancellors in the light of court orders

A video has been circulating on social media where a group of doctors from DOW University of Health Sciences (DUHS) was spotted singing Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna song while apparently sitting in a conference room.

In the 120-seconds-long video, the female vice-chancellor along with other DUHS professors started testing singing talent and it was not long everyone in the room joined the league.

Female professor Zarnaz Wahidi was the first to initiate it and then the rest of her colleagues joined too.

The group was singing the song to bid Pro-Vice Chancellor of DUHS Prof Zarnaz Wahidi who had to abandon an additional charge on a court order.

DUHS has removed two retired professors including Kartar Diwani and Zarnaz Wahid from additional posts of Pro-Vice Chancellors in the light of court orders.

Last year, Sindh government sacked 11 Pro-Vice Chancellors under the Universities Act.

Soon after the video went viral, netizens popped up with criticism over the act of DUHS educators.

Some people are condemning the act at a time when the pathogen is spreading unrelentingly across the country and affecting thousands of people while the vaccination process is progressing at a snail’s speed.

On the other hand, it has been observed that several protests were staged during the past few months by the DUHS employees for payment of allowances.
