Recreation of National Anthem, PTV in HD Are on Fawad’s List

Information minister said the series of reforms in the ministry started in 2018 has now resumed

Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry just announced big reforms he is going to bring besides recreation of the national anthem and state-run channel PTV going digital.

Updating the status, the minister told a fresh digital rendition of the national anthem was in the final stages whereas PTV will go High Definition (HD) from June 1.

Fawad had been working on these developments for quite some time and now the minister was thrilled to reveal the projects were near completion.

Taking to his Twitter handle, the information minister shared the big news in a tweetstorm.

The minister wrote that the series of reforms, which started in 2018 when he had the same office, has now resumed and soon, PTV News and PTV Sports will be airing in full HD.

Chaudhry said that the foundation of a new English channel will be laid shortly while PTV’s Karachi and Lahore studios will be renovated under public-private partnership (PPP) mode.

Moreover, the advertising system will become paperless and the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) will be converted into a digital news agency.

In response to such advancements, a Twitter user lauded minister’s efforts and requested him to recreate the national anthem.

At this, Fawad Chaudhry apprised that the recording of a fresh recreation of the national anthem was in its final stage too.
