Palestinian Women Start Bicycle-Riding in Public
Rania al-Daour, a young Palestinian woman from the Gaza Strip, has launched a sports project that aims to challenge the tradition against women bicycle-riding in public.

The ultimate purpose of the project called Pink Bike, as al-Daour has put it, is to let women express themselves without restrictions.
“We want to promote equality between men and women in Palestine and to prove that women can enjoy the same rights as men in all aspects of life,” she said.
