Before IPL was postponed, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was also mulling to shift the venue of the mega tournament to UAE following the raging coronavirus situation.
BCCI T20 World Cup Director Dhiraj Malhotra had said they might shift the venue to UAE in worst-case scenario.
The official said that they were carrying out negotiations with International Cricket Council (ICC) at the moment.
If the virus does not abate in the coming months, the likelihood of the move has increased.
