Pakistani Journalists Deride Bengali Language

Three Pakistani journalists made fun of Bengali language on Twitter following three-day visit of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to Saudi Arabia.
A meme circulated on Twitter where Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry was telling PM Imran Khan that Bangladesh was offering fish with rice.
It was in connection with the fact that Saudi Arabia gifted 19,000 bags of rice in the form of Fitra and Zakat to Pakistan.
Languages are considered a cornerstone of a nation’s identity and the speakers are adaptative to different accents.

Soon after it went viral after shared by journalist Murtaza Solangi, Fauzia Yazdani commented that she had also served in Dhaka and it was so relatable that she couldn’t control her laughter.

Continuing the talk, Solangi made fun of the Bengali language and inquired in native accent where was he going to find fish and rice, the combination erstwhile East Pakistan is famous for.

In an open display of immaturity and unprofessionalism, senior Pakistani journalists stooped low and ridiculed a language whose natives still live in the country in large numbers.
