A staunch worker of Jang Group who printed and distributed the newspaper for nearly 45 years has been left in the lurch in a hospital after a serious accident.

Shah Zaman spent almost 60 years of his life in the slums of Sultanabad, Karachi, and was a devoted worker of Daily Jang.

After retirment, Zaman sold his only asset, his property, and returned to his native village.

Shah Zaman returned to Karachi in hopes to get his dues from the employer but even after moving from pillar to post, the attempts remained forlorn.

The machine-man, longing for to get his dues cleared, was meandering on the roads when he met an accident.

Shah Zaman was hit by a vehicle near PIDC in Karachi and was brought to the hospital by an anonymous person.

The staunch employee is reported to be in a critical condition at Jinnah hospital but the employer has turned its back on him.
