The spokesperson of the helpline service said that nearly 79,758 calls were made by the citizens for retrieving irrelevant information. Meanwhile, 7,693 callers were provided with traffic-related details.

On the other hand, PSCA’s Lost and Found Center helped to reunite 13 missing persons with their loved ones.

The spokesperson also shared the details of lost motorcycles and other vehicles that were handed over to their owners.

“Around 156 motorcycles, cars, and rickshaws were identified and later made over to their owners”, the official added.

The official, while pleading with the citizens in Punjab, appealed to use 15 Helpline for genuine purposes rather than making fake calls.

“The government has launched the service for the convenience of its people, try not to use it for needless and irrelevant calls”, he added.

Notably, in March this year, the helpline received 283,096 calls of which 168,050 were beside the point.
