Both Harvey and Cosby’s cases sprung up when the most famous #MeToo movement was in its prime
Bill Cosby, an American stand-up comedian, actor, and author walked out of prison after spending nearly three years behind bars as Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court revoked the case of sexual assault against him and the social media users are speculating a similar ruling for American Producer Harvey Weinstein as well.
The artist left prison as a free man hours after the court overturned the charges against him and said there had been a ‘process violation’ by the prosecution and admitted that the previous ruling was unusual.
Cosby, best known for starring in The Cosby Show, was found guilty of drugging and molesting ex-basketball player Andrea Constand in 2018.

However, in a verdict on Wednesday, the SC of Pennsylvania set him free and maintained that the testimony from accusers unrelated to the case had tainted the trial.
“I have never changed my stance nor my story. I have always maintained my innocence”, Cosby tweeted Wednesday night.

The news took the internet by storm and social media users held mixed opinions on the development.
A few of the users maintained that the decision would impact the cases of other sexual assault victims and it can dampen them.
On the other hand, some users argued that no one should be above the law including a bigwig.
Meanwhile, a few stood up in favor of Cosby and opined that the previous ruling came out devastating for Bill who had to spend nearly three years of his life in jail.
Whereas, speculations are steaming up about a similar case of American film producer Harvey Weinstein who was also accused of non-consensual sex and is currently serving a 23-year jail sentence.
