English Black Penalty Shooters Hit by Racist Remarks

Soon after Euro 2020 final, the racist and insulting comments were dropped on Instagram photos of the three players

The failure to net the ball by three English black players leading to the team’s defeat in the Euro 2020 final set the scene for racist remarks.

The English side lost to Italy 3-2 on penalty shootouts and Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka had missed their shots.

Soon after the game ended, the racist and insulting comments were dropped on Instagram photos of the three players. The Britons were totally enraged as they had the chance to win the cup after a gap of 55 years.

However, it received extensive condemnation from all over the place.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and England Football Association President Prince William also condemned the racial abuse of the footballers.

England Football Team Manager Gareth Southgate also termed the disparaging comments as unforgivable.

The Metropolitan Police condemned the occurrence too and announced to investigate denigrating posts against the players on different social media platforms.
