Kaavan’s Dear Friend Awaits Donations in a Miserable Condition
The youngster was given the chance to meet Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton during their tour of Margalla Hills in Islamabad in 2019
Kaavan, the world’s loneliest elephant has reached Cambodia’s sanctuary but left his only dear friend Mohebullah Naveed in a dark place, waiting for donations.
The heart-wrenching story of Mohebullah surfaced on social media a few days ago.
The same youngster who used to feed his friend Kaavan with fruits and vegetables is now fighting for his life and needs donations to carry on with the treatment.
The world knows Kaavan but nobody is aware of Mohebullah, who took great care of the mammal in Islamabad zoo and used to fight with the officials to provide him better living facilities.

Shortly before Kaavan was moved to Cambodia in November 2020, the youngster fell severely ill and was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis.
Moheb was hospitalized and didn’t get the chance to bid farewell to his friend.
He was released from the hospital but in July 2021, he suffered again from the disease but his family is helpless as they are unable to bear treatment expenses.
“Moheb is in agonizing pain and needs hospitalization, please help raise funds for his medical care so that he can go back to leading the next young generation of wildlife warriors and saving the world for our animals”, the social media post read.
He has a passion for wildlife photography and is the youngest ever wild-life photographer of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Pakistan and the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB).
