Sindh Govt Sets New Date For Orange Line After Years

The four-kilometer track will be completed in July this year while the buses will be delivered from China in December

The Sindh government has fixed a new date for completion of Bus Raid Transport (BRT) Orange Line project which was supposed to be completed in 2017.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced yesterday that the project would commence in 2022.

However, a Twitter user shared the advertisement of the project from 2016.

The four-kilometer (km) track for Orange Line will be completed in July this year while the buses will be delivered from China in December.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 4.290 billion and the route will stretch from TMA Orangi to Jinnah University for Women.

The BRT project started originally in 2016 by the Sindh government but it has been nearly half a decade that even its track hasn’t been laid and a new date has been rendered for it.
