History For PTI in AJK Elections After 3 Years on Same Date
PTI workers are terming July 25 as a lucky day as three years back, the party won the general elections on the same date to form the government for the first time
History has been repeated for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections on the same date after a gap of 3 years.
PTI has won the AJK elections by leading on most of the seats as per unofficial results.
PTI is leading with 25 seats, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is on second with 11, and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) stands third with 6 seats. Some 27 seats are required to form the government in AJK.
PTI has also won from the areas considered strongholds of PML-N including Lahore, Narowal, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Multan.
There are 53 seats in total including 45 general and 8 reserved seats.

It had also emerged as the largest party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province for its second consecutive term.
The party’s official Twitter handle shared Imran Khan’s struggle to power in various elections he has participated in since founding the party in 1996.

In violent incidents, 2 PTI workers were shot dead in clashes between political workers in the LA-12 constituency.
