Chairman NADRA Calls Attention to Corruption in Authority
The new chairman has also vowed to bring hardworking and loyal employees to the limelight
Tariq Malik, Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), called attention to corruption in the authority a few days later after assuming the charge.
Tariq Malik took to his Twitter and penned down, “When I took the charge few weeks ago, it became clear that this was not the NADRA I left behind”.

Not only this, the chairman also vowed to bring hardworking and loyal employees to the limelight.
The tweet was posted in response to a statement on NADRA’s official handle stating that the authority has started weighing up the database on an urgent basis.
“NADRA has been working on a comprehensive policy of ‘verification and renewal”, the tweet read.
Tariq Malik has a portfolio of serving NADRA in the past as well and he was among the core members who contributed the most to the database authority. The authority had introduced Smart Card during his first term as chairman of the database authority.
He had also served as the senior technical consultant at the World Bank.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed said in a presser on Monday that NADRA is bringing a new policy of renewal and verification of National Identity Cards (NICs) to block fake cards issued to thousands of people.
