PTI MNA Accused of Obstructing Justice, Backing Land Grabbers

The orphan victim accused that patwaris weren’t handing them over the property documents due to the pressure of MNA Ahmed Hussain Deharr, who is her uncle

An orphan girl from Mailsi in Punjab province has accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Ahmed Hussain Deharr of colluding with the land grabbers who had illegally occupied her deceased father’s property.

She shared a video on the social media, calling for Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) to intervene.

Elia Iqbal Sandhal, who is a first-year medical student, said that her paternal uncle, Zubair Sandhal, had illegally occupied their land in Mailsi with the assistance of her step-brother.

She said that her family members colluded with the revenue department and framed them in fake cases.

The student said that the revenue department took a year to complete the process of property transfer which should be legally completed in a month.

She also accused that PTI MNA Ahmed Hussain Deharr, who is also her uncle, had colluded with the land grabbers and was pressurizing patwaris owing to which they haven’t received the documents yet.

Elia said that she made several rounds to the DC and AC offices but to no avail.

“My father used to say that nobody is yours and I am getting to understand it two years after his demise”, the girl said in the video.

The student said that the lawmaker took her to a mosque to pray for the alleviation of the ranks of her deceased father and assured her of justice.

Elia claimed that she received death threats after asking for her right and some people even did firing outside her house.

She went on to say that after the video, her life was in danger.

Elia nominated Abdul Qadir Sandhal, Zubair Sandhal, MNA Deharr and Saeed Sandhal if anything happens to her.

The social media users criticized that the lawmaker of the party established with the manifesto of serving justice was himself crushing it and demanded action.
