Indian Media Lauded For Free Advertising of KPL
The Indian media propagated against the tournament in reaction to a two-year lockdown imposed throughout the occupied part of Jammu and Kashmir
Much-awaited Kashmir Premier League (KPL) 2021 hosted the first match on Friday and Indian media was praised for free advertisement for the tournament throughout the world.
The cricket event will continue for 10 days and 6 franchises will be contesting for the prestigious trophy in Muzaffarabad city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The teams include Rawalakot Hawks, Kotli Lions, Mirpur Royals, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Overseas Warriors, and Bagh Stallions.

Meanwhile, former South African player Herschelle Gibbs has also arrived for the league and AJK President Sardar Masood praised his decision for not giving heed to the threats by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

After Gibbs blew the whistle against BCCI’s threats for not appearing in the league, English spinner Monty Panesar also revealed that he decided to drop out from KPL owing to the pressure.
“The cost of me joining the KPL would have been huge as India would have canceled my visa and I would be unable to meet my family”, he said.
