Fawad Chaudhry Becomes Harbinger of Change For Ministries

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had proved to be a harbinger of change for the ministry of science and technology and he is on the same track in his current portfolio.

Fawad Chaudhry was appointed as the information minister in April this year for the second time.

Before it, he was serving as the science and technology minister and Pakistanis were enthralled by his performance.

He started various initiatives focusing to transform Pakistan into an exporter of technology besides measures to encourage e-gaming, technical and vocational learning, etc.

After assuming the charge as the information minister, he is still on the same track.

Fawad had started reforms when he had the portfolio in 2018 that he has resumed after getting the post back.

Under his leadership, the state-run Pakistan Television (PTV) News has been upgraded into high definition (HD) while PTV Sports will also be upgraded this year.

The information minister was also commended by President Arif Alvi during the launching ceremony of the project to digitalize the state media organizations.

Radio Pakistan has also started podcasts which the information minister shared on his Twitter handle.

Fawad has also left imprints in his previous ministry as the project of the electronic voting machine (EVM) has been completed under the new related minister Shibli Faraz.

Before the switch in responsibility, the information minister had demonstrated the prototype of EVM to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
