Disparity Spotted in Aid Promised by US to Pakistan
Islamabad Policy and Research Institute provided a complete breakdown of the aid and claimed that out of promised amount of $33 billion, only $17.1 billion were disbursed and the actualized figure is $8.5 billion
Islamabad Policy and Research Institute (IPRI) has revealed a big disparity in the aid promised to Pakistan by United States (US) in 2001 and the amount actually disbursed.
IPRI took to its Twitter handle and shared that the US has multiple times claimed that Pakistan was provided with $33 billion as aid since 2001 and the institute decided to test the claims.

While revealing the results, the institute claimed that it has found a big disparity in the promises and the actual aid that was given to Pakistan.

Not only this, the $33 billion is a distorted figure that also includes the Coalition Support Fund (CSF), a reimbursement program in which the United States paid Pakistan for using its military bases.
