ISPR Releases Theme For Defence and Martyr’s Day 2021
The day recalls the sacrifices made by soldiers for the country in the line of duty and also the time when the Indian Army ambushed Pakistan in 1965 but it was foiled despite a smaller size
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has released the theme in connection with Defence and Martyr’s Day to be observed on September 6 while the military spokesperson assured the nation that the western border is safe.
The theme for the national day this year is ‘Father’s Day’ and its teaser has been released.

Further, ISPR Director-General Inter (DG) Major General Babar Iftikhar addressed a press briefing on Friday and assured the nation that Pakistan’s side of the Afghan border is safe.
The military spokesperson said that Pakistan had already taken necessary precautions foreseeing the evolving security condition in Afghanistan in the purview of US pullout.

ISPR DG said that Pakistan offered military training to Afghanistan but it preferred India, adding only 6 Afghan cadets were sent to Pakistan and thousands of them were sent to India.
Iftikhar said more than 90% percent of fencing of the Afghan border has been completed.
Citing the current security condition in the neighboring country, the military spokesperson said that nothing major has happened on the western border but they are completely prepared to press any insurgency.
He expressed hope that the Taliban government will take effective measures to ensure that Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) doesn’t use their soil as a breeding ground to launch terrorist activities in Pakistan.
Iftikhar said that India’s intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and Afghanistan’s National Directorate of Security (NDS) conspired against Pakistan but their nexus doesn’t exist now after the Taliban takeover of Kabul.
Responding when asked if an Islamic government in the neighboring country will have an impact on Pakistan, ISPR DG said Pakistan is already an Islamic country and the foundation of its constitution is laid on Islamic laws.
