Can a No-Confidence Motion Form a National Government?

After PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, PML-N leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif also believes that PTI-led government can be ousted before next general elections

PML-N leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif has expressed that the formation of a national government before the next general elections is still possible through another no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

While talking in Faisla Aap Ka hosted by Asma Shirazi, Khawaja Asif said that the national government in the country cannot be formed unless the incumbent government is moved out.

To make it happen, he said that the democratic way will be to bring a no-confidence motion against the incumbent government which can lead to formation of a national government for electoral reforms.

PML-N leader has taken the same line which Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman had been saying after getting assurance from the Congressmen during his frequent visits to US, according to sources.

According to sources, Bilawal has been assured by US establishment that Pakistan Army is convinced to accept a national government if a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan gets successful.

Bilawal has been assured that the Pakistani military will push the PTI-led government to move towards a national government if the opposition succeeds in its mission.

However, the sources said the deadline for tabling a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan is October.

Sources said that this was the reason why the PPP chairman has visited US twice or thrice during the past 4 months.
