Taking to his Twitter handle, the 16th chief minister of Balochistan asked BAP central organizer Jan Jamali and general secretary BAP Manzoor Kakar to have a meeting to announce party elections at the earliest.

He also said, “Alhamdulillah served a good 3 years as party president and relinquish from my party presidentship post today”.

Political analysts said that the resignation came forth after 16 opposition lawmakers in Balochistan submitted a no-confidence motion against Jam Kamal in September, demanding him to seek confidence from the assembly within a week.

The reasons included in the motion were an extreme disappointment over CM’s performance, unrest, corruption, and plundering in the province.

It was also said that the CM had violated Articles 37 and 38 of the Constitution and passed budgets that lead to extreme poverty and unrest in Balochistan.
