Veteran Pop Singer Alamgir’s Kidney Transplant Went Successful
The singer was diagnosed with renal failure in 2004
WEB DESK: Famous pop singer Alamgir underwent a successful kidney transplant after his kidney removal surgery back in 2015.
The ‘Maaon ki Dua Puri Hui’ singer shared this good news with his fans on social media with a photo from hospital.
“Transplant was a success. Thanks to all of your prayers, my kidney transplant was successful!,” he announced.
Veteran singer Alamgir has been battling polycystic kidney disease for years and according to the singer he had inherited the disease through his mother.
“Both my kidneys enlarged so much that there is no space to put the 3rd kidney in (normally in a kidney transplant a 3rd kidney is planted without taking any of the non-working kidneys out) but in my case they will have to take my kidneys out as the first step. This itself is a major surgery.” Alamgir wrote on Facebook.
Actor Humayun Saeed also send wishes for the singer in his tweet.
