PML-N’s Hina Butt’s costly wearings at anti-inflation protest draws criticism
She wore shoes worth $1500 and carried bag costing Rs1.4 million at the rally
Yesterday, the PML-N had organised a protest rally outside the Punjab Assembly against inflation and rise in petroleum products as part of opposition’s countrywide anti-government movement.
Among others PML-N’s MPA Hina Parvez Butt also participated in the protest. Her very expensive shoes and bag had attracted criticism on the social media.
Focal Person to Punjab Chief Minister Azhar Mashwani took to Twitter and criticised Hina Parvez Butt for his double standards on inflation.

Mashwani said that during anti-inflation protest the PML-N MPA wore shoes worth $1500 and carried a bag costing Rs1.4 million.
Showing off such costly items in an anti-inflation protest is like a joke with the masses who are unable to have three times meal a day in the country.

On the occasion, the protesters chanted slogans against inflation, price-hike and “incompetence” of the government.
Due to the protest, a traffic jam was witnessed on The Mall and the adjoining arteries where traffic remained at a standstill for hours.
Talking to the media, Azma Bukhari said that inflation has broken the back of the common man and the rulers were reporting all was well. “The prime minister is now begging the IMF for dollars, the government is running the country at the behest of the IMF, far from subsidising consumer goods, they have increased taxes on everything from food to drinks by 12 to 17 per cent,” Azma said.
