I thought about suicide aged 13, admits Will Smith
Says he considered ending life after his mother left home, following suffering physical abuse from his father.
American actor, film producer and rapper Willard Carroll Smith Jr revealed that he had suicidal thoughts during his childhood.
In his latest memoir titled “Will”, the five-time Grammy Awards winner shared secrets from his life and career.
He had confessed, in the book, that he had suicidal thoughts when he was 13 years old.

The star actor further said that he considered ending his life after his mother left home, following suffering physical abuse from his father.
“I felt lonely and guilty after my mother left home,” the American film producer said.
Smith said that his mother went to work but did not return. She went to my grandmothers’ house, he added. The rapper said that he thought about pills and knew where a boy loses legs on rail tracks. He said that he has seen people cut wrists on television.
He also discussed , in the book, how he saw his father beating his mother. Smith said he saw her mother spit blood.
