A warning sign: JI holds effective anti-govt rally in Islamabad’s Red Zone
Siraj claimed that if he directs his workers they will even enter Parliament and stage a sit-in there.
The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) held an impressive anti-government rally in Islamabad’s Red Zone yesterday.
The JI ameer Sirajul Haq warned the prime minister that the youth, which according to Imran Khan brought him to power, would reject him in the next elections.
Showing power, the JI chief claimed that if he directs the JI Youth workers they will even enter the Parliament House and stage a sit-in there. But, he said he would not let the government to become a political martyr.

Such an impressive show of power against the government by the JI is an an eye opener for both the government and the opposition parties. The major opposition parties including the PML-N and PPP have huge representation in the parliament as compared to the Jamaat-e-Islami but had failed to hold an effective anti-government rally so far in the capital like that of the religio-political party. The JI ‘s successful rally had exposed the ineffectiveness and weakness of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and other opposition parties who had failed to hold a show of power against the government in Islamabad and especially in the Red Zone.
On the other hand, after the JI’s yesterdays rally, the government should realise that if the JI can hold such a rally in the Red Zone than other major opposition parties may also follow the suit and create serious problems for it in the capital.
