Apple agreed to pay the penalty for ‘settlement’

WEB DESK: Apple agreed to pay US $113 million to settle the slow performance of older iPhones to manage battery power.

According to California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, Apple will recompense in more than 30 states, including California.

“Apple withheld information about their batteries that slowed down iPhone performance, all while passing it off as an update,” said Becerra.

He said that the update was carried out ignoring the problem faced by the consumers due to battery timing.

The purpose of the compensation money is to ensure that consumers of over 30 states is that they have access to this information when purchasing and using Apple products so that users can make well- informed decisions.
