She added that an investigation led by the Taliban had later proved that it was an agenda-driven protest that was fuelled and funded by some foreign forces including India.

Ahmad Waqass Goraya posted a scurrilous comment on her video and blamed the military establishment for promoting such women to deliver lectures on hijab and Islam.

In another tweet, he compared the woman journalist to a pimp who are maligning Afghan women fighting for their rights.

Some journalists came to defend Sumaira Khan:

Siddique had also asked Netherlands’ Ambassador to Pakistan Wouter Plomp on Twitter to Goraya’s objectionable messages against women journalists on a daily basis.

She asked the women journalists including Fareeha Idrees, Maleeha Hashmey, Sumaira Khan, Mehr Tarar, Gharidah Farooqi and Sehar Shinwari to file a complaint to Netherlands police besides sharing Politie Nederland’s contact number and social media links.
