PSL 7: Pacer Wahab Riaz sets new record

Pakistani pacer and PZ skipper Wahab Riaz has set a new record in the PSL 7 as he became the first bowler to get 100 wickets.

LAHORE: Pakistani pacer and Peshawar Zalmi skipper Wahab Riaz has set a new record in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7 as he became the first bowler to get 100 wickets.

Wahab Riaz grabbed the PSL record during a match against Islamabad United after sending off Danish Aziz. The pacer is followed by Hasan Ali who is still far away from his number of wickets with 78, Shadab Khan on the third position with 63 wickets and Shaheen Shah Afridi with 61 wickets.

Wahab Riaz is also the most capped player of the PSL as he has played 75 matches so far after Kamran Akmal who played 73 matches and Sarfaraz Ahmed with 70 matches.

The pacer had taken 15 wickets in the inaugural edition of PSL and he has remained the part of Peshawar Zalmi since the beginning of the mega cricketing event.

Riaz’s had taken 15 wickets in the second edition, 18 wickets in the third edition, 17 in the fourth edition, 11 in the fifth edition and 18 in the sixth edition.
