Marriyum Aurangzeb commits three blunders after becoming info minister

ISLAMABAD: After becoming the federal information minister, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb committee three blunders.

Marriyum Aurangzeb’s blunders as the new information minister exhibited a lack of information regarding important national issues.

In her first press conference, Aurangzeb claimed that the social media trend of ‘imported government’ against the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government was being run through fake accounts.

An analytical view of the social media trends found ‘No to imported government’ one of the most popular trends in the history of Twitter. It emerged that more than 100 million tweets were shared on the microblogging website with the hashtag.

In another press conference, the information minister claimed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was not departing to Saudi Arabia for Umrah at state expenses. She said that the premier and the government office-bearers will travel on a commercial flight.

However, her claims were proven false by two coalition parties including Awami National Party (ANP) and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP). It may be noted here that the leaders from both political parties have rejected to visit Saudi Arabia alongside PM Shehbaz Sharif at state expenses.

The third blunder of Marriyum Aurangzeb was exposed after she claimed on behalf of the government to make 20 out of 27 closed power plants in the country. The nationals found it wrong as almost all parts of the country are suffering from the worst loadshedding these days.
