Major progress made on Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan: sources

Sources said that Nawaz Sharif made a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday and hinted at his return to Pakistan.

Major progress has been witnessed on Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif’s return to the country as the next 24 hours are important for ‘an important decision’, sources told News360.

Sources told News360 that Nawaz Sharif made a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday and hinted at his return to Pakistan.

In view of the increasing popularity of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his successful series of political rallies, the PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif has decided to return home from London.

Sources added that the next 24 hours are very important regarding the announcement of Nawaz Sharif’s return.

Shahbaz Sharif warned Nawaz Sharif about his expected arrest and jail term. To which, Nawaz Sharif replied that he was ready to face jail but he wanted to restore the strength of his political party besides fielding a strong team in the forthcoming elections.

It should be noted that the senior PML-N leader and Federal Minister Javed Latif had announced in a press conference last month that Nawaz Sharif is returning home soon.

The PML-N supremo had been sentenced in the Panama reference and later he went to London for receiving medical treatment in 2019 and has been living there ever since. The court had declared him a proclaimed offender for not returning home on time.

At Javed Latif’s press conference, political analysts say that there are still many steps to be taken regarding Nawaz Sharif’s return home, and the second thing is whether the convicted politician be able to participate in political activities after his return as he was declared a fugitive by the court.
