After a long silence, SAPM on Strategic Communication and senior journalist Fahd Husain showed his presence on social media.

After a long silence, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Strategic Communication and Public Policy and senior journalist Fahd Husain has shown his presence on social media and said, “Hello again. You will be hearing a lot from me. Buckle up! #backonline”

Fahd Hussain posted messages on Twitter to confirm he is back online to interact with people after a long disappearance.

He wrote on Twitter, “Hello again. You will be hearing a lot from me. Buckle up! #backonline”

In another tweet, “Time off social media is great to step back and get a perspective. More so when one is in transition. These last few months have been invaluable for me in recognising who are my true friends and well wishers and who are two-faced hypocrites. #backonline”

Responding to his tweet, Asma Shirazi said, “Trust me it’s really imp to know who are friends and one should be thankful to foes and hypocrites too.all the best.”

Salman Masood shared Pink Floyd’s quote following Husain’s tweet.

Nadir Baloch questioned him about whether it is necessary to join the government’s team for proving himself an honest and true friend.

Journalist Fahd Husain vanished from public appearance after becoming Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s special assistant. After becoming the premier’s press adviser, Fahd Husain was not even seen in major press conferences.

In May, the veteran journalist had been appointed as Special Assistant to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif with the status of the federal minister, however, his decision for accepting the government slot was criticised by some journalists.

Syed Fahd Husain had earlier given his opinion against the affiliation of a journalist with any political party or a government member.

In September, Husain had faced a failure to get the support of the journalist fraternity as the largest body of newspapers, the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE), boycotted PM Shehbaz Sharif’s meeting.

PM Shehbaz Sharif-led coalition government faced an embarrassing failure to gain the support of the journalist fraternity after its unpopular decisions in terms of the economic challenges and flood relief strategies.

After his tweets, analysts wondered has Fahd Husain changed his opinion for being part of PM Sharif’s cabinet which led him coming back to social media to restart his journalistic activities.
