The coalition government is still reluctant to arrest Imran Khan despite his announcement to unveil the long march date this month.

ISLAMABAD: The coalition government is still reluctant to arrest former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan despite his announcement to unveil the long march date this month.
Yesterday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) disqualified the PTI chief Imran Khan in its verdict of the Toshakhana case.
In his video message yesterday, the former premier said that his long march’s deadline is October and he is preparing and he will give a date before October 30.

After Imran Khan’s speech, heavy contingents of Frontier Corps (FC) reached the vicinity of Bani Gala. However, the government has not yet decided whether to arrest Imran Khan or not.
Khan said that if the Toshakhana case is taken to court then nothing will come up illegal. He blamed Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari for violating the Toshakhana laws by taking out four expensive cars but the ECP did not hear their cases.
He further said that the CEC was part of conspiracy and mafia and a biased decision was made to throw Imran Khan out of the game. He added that there is a record of gifts bought from Toshakhana. If the case goes to court, nothing illegal will come out.
The PTI chief also directed workers to end the protest and prepare for a long march. He added that jihad against thieves and mafias will continue and they will bring the real freedom movement to its logical conclusion.
On the orders of Imran Khan’s Ministry of Interior, FC troops reached Bani Gala and its surrounding areas, but no arrests were made.
Analysts said the coalition government is still reluctant about arresting Imran Khan or not. On the other hand, Imran Khan is adamant about his decision, he will definitely make a long march, which means that there will definitely be a match ahead, now who will win, only time will decide.
They added that Khan has been disqualified but the development started a series of protests across the country which could not be stopped by the government. Analysts said that protests erupted in parts of the country following the ECP verdict against Khan which also mounted pressure on the government.
Analysts have also reported from their sources that the process of backdoor channel negotiations is also ongoing, and Imran Khan who has asked his workers to end the protest is also involved in the process of backdoor channel negotiations.
