GHQ letter to PM; Shehbaz Sharif forms judicial commission to investigate Arshad Sharif Murder

Information and Broadcasting Minister Maryam Aurangzeb says the head of Judicial Commission can take representatives from the civil society and the media to determine the facts.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb has said, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to conduct an inquiry into the death of Arshad Sharif. The decision has been made after a letter was received from the General Headquarters (GHQ).

According to the details, in the statement issued by Maryam Aurangzeb, it has been said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to form a judicial commission to investigate the case of senior journalist #ArshadSharif, who was killed by the police in Kenya.

She said the Prime Minister has decided to form a commission headed by a High Court judge.

The Minister of Information and Broadcasting says that the head of the Judicial Commission can take representatives from civil society and the media to determine the facts.

He has said that the real facts of Arshad Sharif’s death will come out with the Prime Minister’s decision.

It should be noted that this morning General Headquarters (GHQ) wrote a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, demanding an investigation into the death of Arshad Sharif in #Kenya.

In the letter, the GHQ demanded the government of Pakistan form a judicial commission for a full investigation into the death of Arshad Sharif.

The letter also demanded that after the death of Arshad Sharif, legal action should be taken against those who made baseless allegations against the sensitive institution.
