In the petition filed by Tehreek-e-Insaf in the Lahore High Court, the PTI MNAs took the stand that we had withdrawn the resignations before they were accepted, the acceptance of the resignations was based on malice.

It should be noted that 43 members of the National Assembly, including Riaz Fatiana, had filed an application in the Lahore High Court, in which it was said that we had withdrawn the resignations before they were accepted, so the Speaker cannot accept them after withdrawing the resignations.

The resignations that were accepted were accepted on political grounds which are malicious, and in violation of the judgments of the higher courts. Therefore, the court should declare this measure null and void.
