Govt gets 2260 billion rupees loan from central bank in 8 months, report

According to State Bank report, government received 1,987 billion rupees in loans from other banks from July to March 11

State Bank of Pakistan has said in its latest report that government’s debt for budget support exceeded 2000 billion rupees.

The statement issued by the Central Bank said that the loan taken from the State Bank between July and March 11 reached Rs 2,260 billion. While during the same period, loans of 1987 billion rupees have been obtained from commercial banks.

According to the statement of the State Bank of Pakistan, about 535 billion rupees were received from the central bank in the same period last year.

According to the central bank, the declining state of the economy can be easily estimated from credit offtake.

According to the State Bank, during the period from July 1 to March 11, the companies borrowed 248 billion rupees from the banks, while it was about 911 billion rupees in the same period last year.

According to the State Bank, the debt of public sector enterprises was about 151 billion rupees, which was 18 billion rupees in the same period last year.
