Former captain Muhammad Hafeez appointed honorary life member of MCC

Former Test cricketer has been honored with honor in recognition of his illustrious career, with Mohammad Hafeez becoming the 25th Pakistani to receive honorary life membership of MCC

Britain’s Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) awarded former Pakistan cricket team captain Muhammad Hafeez with honorary life membership.

The former Test cricketer has been honored with the honor in recognition of his illustrious career, Mohammad Hafeez is the 25th Pakistani to be awarded honorary life membership of the MCC. Apart from 23 former cricketers of Pakistan, 2 former PCB chiefs Arif Abbasi and Ehsan Mani have also got this honor.

The last time from Pakistan, former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was awarded this honor in 2019. Muhammad Hafeez was showered with congratulations after being awarded honorary life membership of the MCC.

Apart from Mohammad Hafeez, India’s Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj are also among the honourees.

England’s N Morgan, Kevin Pietersen, New Zealand’s Russ Taylor, South Africa’s Dale Steyn, West Indies’ Marissa Aguilera were also given honorary life membership of the MCC.

India’s Jhulan Goswami, Mithali Raj, West Indies’ Amy Satterth-White and England’s Anya Sharabsol have also become honorary life members of the MCC. Former English cricket team captain Jenny Gunn, Australia’s Rachel Hines, England’s Laura Marsh and Bangladesh’s Mashrafe Bin Murtaza also made it.

Former captain Mohafez Hafeez has said that I would like to thank MCC from the bottom of my heart for awarding me life membership in recognition of my services to the beautiful game of cricket. Looking forward to meeting new friends and serving as an MCC member.
