Reprehensible action of PMLN Twitter handle in response to Armeena Khan’s Maryam Nawaz trolling

In response to a satirical tweet about Maryam Nawaz, Twitter handle of PML-N mocked her by uploading a picture of actress's infant daughter, on which eminent personalities including artists have condemned ruling party's Twitter handle

Official Twitter handle of PML-N went offline due to satirical tweet of British-based Pakistani actress Armeena Khan against Maryam Nawaz.

In response to a satirical tweet about Maryam Nawaz, Twitter handle of PML-N mocked her by uploading a picture of actress’s infant daughter, on which eminent personalities including artists have condemned ruling party’s Twitter handle.

Shayan Ali, a youth worker of Tehreek-e-Insaf based in London, shared a video on his Twitter handle in which a young girl ridiculed Maryam Nawaz on pretext of taking a selfie and after taking the picture, demanded Maryam Nawaz steal her family. Somewhere, Maryam Nawaz smiled and ignored the misbehavior of the young PTI worker.

Actress Armeena Khan retweeted the above tweet and wrote, “If this had happened in Pakistan, the girl taking the selfie would have gone missing. I am happy that we have freedom of expression here in the UK, where we can hold our politicians accountable.” If you are going to settle on British soil, these are our principles, we have freedom of expression.”

The official Twitter handle of PML-N attached a picture of the actress with her infant daughter to the tweet and wrote in the comment, “How the mentally ill youths are training their next generation and the fifth generation of youths will be the lowest”.

Actress Armeena Khan wrote in response that “I think Maryam Nawaz hates children, the poor thing wanted to save herself, so she sent her goons to harass a citizen of another country.” I have never seen anything like this from a mainstream political party before.”

Several prominent personalities including actor Usman Khalid Butt and Shehbaz Taseer have expressed surprise and anger over the tweet of the PML-N handle and demanded its removal.
