Free flour scheme worth Rs 53 billion comes to an end after taking 22 precious lives

Punjab’s biggest free flour scheme with a relief package of Rs 53 billion has come to an end, but took 22 precious lives with it.
According to the report released by Punjab government, under the free flour scheme, 41.11461 million 10kg bags of flour were distributed to the beneficiaries free of cost.
According to the current report, 31 million families of Punjab benefited from the scheme, for the first time, a record number of deserving people were given free flour in the month of Siam.
According to the report, 27 lakh 49 thousand 580 bags of flour were distributed on Sunday, provincial ministers, administration and police officers were active throughout the day to continue the distribution of flour without interruption.
According to the report of the Punjab government, 531,885 flour bags were distributed in Lahore, Faisalabad 399,369, Gujranwala 352,123, Multan 333,573, Bahawalpur 268,319, DG Khan 257,270, Rawalpindi 227,260, Sahiwal 219,321 and Sargodha 160,525 on the last day.
