Rana Sanaullah’s statement on PTI women rape audio, Supreme Court must take notice

Between Saturday and Sunday night, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah claimed that a rape story of some PTI women was planted, audio of which has been intercepted by intelligence. While raising questions on Rana Sana’s press conference, analysts and legal experts say that where so many audio leaks were shared on media, what difference would it have made if this audio had also been shared? Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah made a shocking claim on Saturday and Sunday night that intelligence agencies had intercepted a telephone conversation, in which the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) called the government internationally. The alleged conspiracy to defame has been revealed.

According to the minister, the intercepted conversations showed that a PTI police team would rape a woman during a house raid and blame it on state agencies.

Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah alleged that there were two types of planning in the intercepted call.

One of them was related to the method of raid and the other was the ‘stage’ of raping a PTI worker at his house, he said, adding that firing during the raid was also part of the plan.

He said that the ‘conspiracy’ was to be executed today, which is why the government decided to expose it quickly.

The minister asserted that if the alleged plot was implemented, the PTI would use international media platforms to defame the government by accusing it of gross human rights violations.

Commenting on the press conference of Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, analysts say that where the government has already shared 25 audio leaks with the media, what difference would it have made if this audio was also shared?

He has raised the question that if there is any such audio, will the government share it with the media? It has been more than 24 hours since the Home Minister’s statement. If there is audio, where is it?

The question also arises that if the PTI workers are playing the role of fake police, according to Rana Sanaullah, have they stolen those uniforms from Punjab Police or from Islamabad Police?
