Questions Loom Over Bilawal Bhutto’s Vehicle Ownership

The role of Arab royalties has been significant in the politics of Pakistan and it may have it again in the ownership of a vehicle used by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

News360 learned that the vehicle in which Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari roamed around with PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz in Garhi Khuda Bux was allegedly owned by royalty.

News360 approached the Sindh excise department to confirm the ownership of the Toyota Land Cruiser which was used by Bilawal Bhutto in Garhi Khuda Bux.

It was learned that the vehicle having registration number BE-0520 was a Toyota Land Cruiser 2008 and it belonged to a member of a royal family.

Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has not yet come up with a clarification on the ownership of the vehicle.

Being the head of a big political party in Pakistan as well as a public representative, the onus is on Bilawal Bhutto or his party to end suspense looming over the ownership of the jeep which he used during Maryam Nawaz’s visit to Garhi Khuda Bux.

As per the current situation, there are two possibilities for the proprietorship of the Toyota Land Cruiser.

It could either be that a fake registration plate was mounted on the vehicle or it was gifted by the member of the royal family to the PPP chairman.

In both cases, PPP’s top brass is subjected to an explanation over the matter of public interest.

If the former is the case, the party must probe into the matter and find the culprits behind putting a fake registration plate.

If latter, PPP should issue a press release or its officials should clear ambiguity constructed in the minds of the people over the proprietorship of the vehicle.
