The supporters of US President Donald Trump stormed Capitol Hill and shook the basis of American democracy after which curfew has been imposed in Washington DC.

Following hours of the speech, thousands of supporters gathered outside Capitol Hill.

The joint session of Congress to endorse Joe Biden’s victory was suspended after the supporters of Trump stormed the Capitol building.

In an attempt to shake democracy, Donald Trump rebuffed all applications to station the National Guard on the protection of Capitol Hill despite the violence.

Later, US Vice President Mike Pence issued orders of deployment in defiance of the US President.

The protesters reportedly broke inside the Senate building in Capitol Hill after clashing with the police and scaling impediments.

During the clash, a woman has been reportedly shot dead too.

They stole valuables until the riot police got inside and forced them out by firing tear gas.

President-elect Joe Biden denounced the rampage and labeled it an assault on the citadel of liberty. He also called it a ‘dark moment’ in the history of the US.
