Uncaring Pakistanis Shared Memes on Power Breakdown

Construction of memes reflects how the nation treated a matter of grave concern which the international media considered as ‘worrying’

Pakistanis turned to social media to make a mockery of the nationwide power breakdown which the international media had termed as ‘worrying’ and shared millions of memes in a span of few hours, indicating how callous they have evolved as a nation.

A massive blackout occurred in Pakistan on late Saturday night due to a technical fault in the national grid. It continued till Sunday afternoon until power was restored gradually.

But, just 30 minutes into the power breakdown, the bewildered Pakistanis started poking fun at the situation and posted around 50 million memes on different social platforms including Facebook and Twitter.

The government came up with clarifications and opposition members censured it.
