Preacher in Turkey Jailed “1000” Years For Sex Crimes
Several times preachers in India as well as in Pakistan have been found guilty of sexual abuse and fraudulent activities
A preacher is a person who delivers religious sermons hence is the most praiseworthy person in a religious society. However, it has been witnessed for eons that few preachers have been fraudulent with their profession in Pakistan as well as other parts of the world. Recently a television preacher has been jailed for more than 1,000 years for sex crimes in Turkey.
A court in Turkey has sentenced the preacher, Adnan Oktar, to be jailed who used to surround himself with scantily clad women he called “kittens” and many of them had gone through plastic surgeries.
Those inadequately clothed women used to dance around Adnan to upbeat music in the TV studio.
The 64-year old bearded preacher was detained by the police in 2018 along with more than 200 other suspects for crimes including sexual assault, sexual abuse of minors, fraud, and political and military espionage.
Earlier, Oktar was also charged with forming a criminal gang but was acquitted.
Similarly in India, a spiritual guru with millions of followers, Gurmeet Ram Rahim, was convicted a rapist in 2017.
Ram Rahim is the head of Dera Sacha Sauda (DSS) since 1990 and his conviction had led to violent activities, leaving 41 people dead in India.
Several charges were made against the preacher including forced castration of his followers, rape, and murder of a journalist, Ram Chander Chhatrapati, who was writing articles against him.
The situation is not different in Pakistan, several cases have surfaced where clerics were found involved in child abuse or rape of minors.
