Due to unstable political and economic situation of country, there is a slowdown in economic activities. During 10 months, 9 and a half percent decrease in production has been recorded.
Pakistan Statistical Institute has released statistics of the production of major industries according to which the production of major industries fell by nine decimal 39% in the first ten months of this financial year.
According to the data released by the Bureau of Statistics, the production of major industries decreased by about 10 percent on a monthly basis, while the production of the textile sector decreased by about 18 percent.
The Bureau of Statistics said that the production of industries decreased by about 22 percent in April this year compared to April last year. The fertilizer sector recorded a decline of around 9%.
Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (BPS) said that from July to April, the production of the automobile sector decreased by 46 percent, while the production of the textile sector decreased by 86.17%.
In the ongoing data of PBS, it has been stated that the pharmaceuticals sector decreased by 25%, the tobacco sector by 28%, while the production of the food sector decreased by 8.52%.
Production of wood industries decreased by 64%, production of coke and petroleum products by 12%, and production of computers, electronics, and optical products by 65.27%.
According to the Statistics Institute, the production of electrical equipment decreased by 13%, machinery and equipment by 46% and the production of the fertilizer sector decreased by 8.80%.
